Dr Tom Remenyi presents to local councils

Climate Futures’ Dr Tom Remenyi made a presentation organised to Hobart City Council and Hobart residents on anthropogenic climate change and fire risk. This presentation is one of a series of presentations on climate change and responses to it made to local councils all over Tasmania.

Dr Remenyi has also recently presented to the Tasman Council and the Glamorgan-Spring Bay Council, and, during 2020, he has worked with every local council in Southern Tasmania to deliver workshops in Climate Change Information for Decision Making. Climate Futures has also produced accompanying reports providing key climate indices useful to operational council staff.

The presentation was well attended and provided attendees with much detail and context around increasing fire risk in Hobart and Tasmania’s southeast.
