Climate Futures at the ‘It Takes a Spark’ conference

Dr Gabi Mocatta from Climate Futures presented together with other UTAS academics Dr Gretta Pecl, Dr Chloe Lucas and PhD student Charlotte Jones on co-creating climate action.

The Year 7-9 students at the ‘It Takes a Spark’ high school science conference were both inspired and inspiring. They came up with innovative ways to “Cool the School”, and will be presenting these emissions reduction ideas to their school leadership. 

This was a wonderful opportunity to hear from young people and engage them in a conversation about our climate futures.
