A Natural Hazards Atlas for Tasmania: a major new project for Climate Futures
November 11, 2024
Climate Futures’ Dr Rebecca Harris was joined by Ian Barnes-Keoghan from the Bureau of Meteorology in a public panel discussion on climate change at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG). This event, organised by the Friends of TMAG was an explainer on the causes and effects of climate change. The sold-out event evidenced the level of community concern about climate change, and its local, as well as global effects.
Climate Futures regularly participates in public events and communication opportunities to improve public understanding of climate science and adaptation to a changing climate. “Translation of this complex science to further public understanding is one of our key priorities,” says Climate Futures lead, Dr Harris.
